03 OBIEE RCU

  1. Go to directory \rcu\bin and double click on RCU (make sure there is no space in directory path)
  1. In welcome screen click on next
  1. Select Create radio buttonClick on next
  1. Provide below details
  1. Click on ok
  1. Expand oracle Business Intelligence → select Business Intelligence Platform
  1. Click on OK
  1. Provide password as RRitec123
  1. Click next
  1. Click on OK
  1. Click on OK
  1. Click on Create
  1. Click on CLOSE

02 ORACLE DATABASE INSTALLATION

Step 2 : Database Installation ORACLE


  1. Double click on setup file
  1. Click RUN
  1. In welcome screen uncheck mail option
  1. Click on YES
  1. Select Skip Software Updates → click on Next
  1. Select Create and Configure database → Click on Next
  1. Select Server Class → Click on Next
  1. Select Single Instance → Click on next
  1. Select Advanced install → click on Next
  1. Leave default language as ENGLISH → click on next
  1. Select Enterprise Edition → click on next
  1. Leave default paths → click on next
  1. Select Data Warehouse → click on NEXT
  1. Leave bdefault database name as ORCL
  1. Under character set tab → select unicode AL32UTF8
  1. Under security tab → UNCHECK Security option
  1. under sample schemas → enable sample schemas
  1. Click NEXT
  1. CLICK NEXT
  1. CLICK NEXT
  1. Provide password as RRitec123
  1. Click on INSTALL

Note : if you want your password should expire never then do as shown

Open SQLPLUS ==> login as / as sysdba ==> type below command

alter profile DEFAULT limit password_life_time UNLIMITED;

01 INSTALLING MICROSOFT LOOP BACK ADAPTER

STEP 1: Installing  Microsoft Loop back adapter


  1. Open the Windows RUN → Type hdwwiz.exe → Click on OK
3. In the Welcome window, click Next
 4. Select →  click Next
5. Select Network Adapters → click Next


8. In the Select Network Adapter window, make the following selections:
    • Manufacturer: Select Microsoft.
    • Network Adapter: Select Microsoft Loopback Adapter
    • Click Next


9. In the window ‘The wizard is ready to install your hardware’ → click Next


10. In the Completing the Add Hardware Wizard window, click Finish.
  1. 11. Go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
  2. Right click on Microsoft Loopback Adapter  → select Properties
  3. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and click Properties.
  4. In the Properties dialog box, click Use the following IP address and do the following:
    • IP Address: Enter a non-routable IP for the loopback adapter. Oracle recommends the following non-routable addresses:
      • 10.10.10.10
    • Subnet mask: Enter 255.255.255.0.
    • Leave all other fields empty.
    • Click on ok → Close
  • Go to path C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  • Open hosts file in notepad and enter below line
  • To validate the loopback configuration open a command prompt and enter the following:


       You should see a reply from IP address 10.10.10.10 and RRITEC too

REMOTE SERVER CONFIGURATION

REMOTE SERVER CONFIGURATION

1.       Goto my computer and click properties


2 .       Select remote and check two find boxes(follow below screen shot)


3 . Goto right click on mynetwork places  and click properties


4 . right click on local area connection 3  and click properties


5 . Select  internet protocol(tcp/ip) and  click properties


6 .  Select use the following ip address and type your router ip and subnet mask (ex : follow below screen shot)


7.          Put the windows 2003 server cd in your cd drive

8.         Goto control panel and open add remove programs

9.          And select add or remove windows components

10.       Check the terminal server and terminal server Licensing and click next

11.       Restart your  system
