Select Reports Dynamic using Dashboard Prompt

1. Select Reports Dynamic using Dashboard Prompt .

Step1: Develop a report R1

Step1: Log on to analytics page

Step2: Go to new then analysis and in criteria column drag and drop Region, Sales District and Dollars

Step3: Click on results and then save the report as R1

Step2:Develop a report R2

Similarly develop a report with columns Region, Address and Dollars and save it as R2

Step3: Go New then click on Dashboard prompt -→click on + (new)→Variable Prompt

→Provide the name as user_selected_report→user input as choice list then click on + symbol

→add R1,R2→click on ok and save it

Step4: Create a new dashboard with the name report choice list-→Drag and drop dashboard prompt,R1 and R2 into the work area→save it→run it

Step5: Initially reports will not follow the prompt

Step6 : For this go to R1→click on section properties

→click on filter symbol

→Condition

→ Browse R1→click on ok→click on ok

Step7: Now go to R1(report properties)(XYZ symbol)

→Edit Analysis→go to criteria→Click on filter option of first column→enable the option convert this filter to sql

→Provide below expression ‘@{user_selected_report}’=’R1’

Then click on ok

Step8: similarly follow step6 and step7 for report R2 also

Step9: save the dashboard and run it

Step10: Observe the output
